In response to questions about wokism and declining academic standards, schools have developed a word salad to confuse you and make you feel like the crazy one.
Thank you for writing this. I felt like I was the only one who noticed what was happening, how I was being manipulated with a smoke screen of language that made no sense.
100% - I can confirm this is happening at allegedly “elite” schools in NYC Metro as well. I’m a graduate of one of these schools myself and was sending all of my kids to the same school before finally having the backbone to pull all of them out. I feel like my wife and I had a nearly identical conversation with the Headmaster as outlined in this blog. We also had an even more bizarre one when we challenged why the administration thought it was ok to have school sanctioned racially segregated meetings. Still, despite lots of parents knowing things are messed up, few will say anything except in private conversations. Those new to the school think they’ve been let in to some exclusive “club” and think they’ll get kicked out if they raise concerns too loudly and those who have been there for a while just want their kids to graduate and are fearful that speaking out will somehow harm their kids’ college prospects … so the stupidity continues.
Exactly. But at some point, the tipping point will come when parents wonder if what they are paying for is worth it as results continue to decline. We applaud your bravery for leaving. Let's continue to awaken parents!
Bingo! Finally you are putting the whole puzzle together, and making sense of it all. There are 14 years between my oldest to youngest, and the degradation of standards at our allegedly elite New England independent schools has been breathtaking- and they had already been steadily deteriorating . Thank you for creating this Substack - With Gratitude

Thank you for reading! There are too many topics to write about and too little time. We will keep uncovering!
