Recent lawfare includes more than last week’s seminal SCOTUS rulings. New filings have gone out alleging causes of action including violation of consumer sales practices and the False Claims Act, not investigating bullying claims, civil conspiracy, wrongful death, negligence, breach of fiduciary duties, and intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress against Latin School of Chicago (IL); Columbus Academy (OH), Charleston Day (SC); and St. Anne’s (NY) (not all mentioned claims are alleged against each school). This is a clear showing that we’re not gonna take it anymore. We’re not gonna take the hypocrisy. We’re not gonna take the consumer lies. We’re not gonna take the financial waste. We’re not gonna take sham DEI. We’re not gonna take it anymore.
The DECLARATION of PARENTS of the INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS OF AMERICA
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for Independent Schools to dissolve the bands which have connected them with the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that Parents should declare the causes which impel them to demand the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all children are born curious, that they should receive an education.--That to develop their intellect, Parents may choose an Independent School founded upon the rational tenets of the Enlightenment,--That whenever any Form of Associated Governance becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the Alumni and Parents to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Autonomy, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their children’s Safety and Education. When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Governance. The history of NAIS is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over Independent Schools. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.
It has usurped the powers originally given to Boards of Trustees with its Principles of Good Practice and Trustee training procedures.
It has refused to provide any level of transparency into any of Its operations and programs including but not limited to the People of Color Conference (PoCC), Student Diversity Leadership Conference (SDLC), NAIS Board meetings, and Its related executive search firm, consultant, and EdTech “sponsors.”
It has called together faculty at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the campuses, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with Its DEI/SEL measures.
It has deleted and blocked social media and online materials repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness Its invasions on the rights of the parents.
It has endeavoured to push Marxism under the guise of “anti-racism” and “diversity, equity and inclusion,” to peddle lewd behavior under the pretense of “sexual education,” and to encourage gender transitions under the ruse of “empathy.”
It has obstructed the Administration of Education, by debasing genuine subject matter knowledge and skill with a relentless focus on non-academic pursuits, Challenge Success, EdTech, mastery grading, project based learning (PBL), student-led learning, and the general infiltration of extreme ideological accreditation criteria.
It has made Headmasters dependent on Its Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
It has erected a multitude of New DEI/SEL/Wellness Offices, and sent hither swarms of DEI/SEL/Wellness Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
It has affected to render the DEI/SEL/Wellness Industry independent of and superior to the Academic power.
It has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our articles of incorporation, and unacknowledged by our by-laws; giving Its Assent to Its Acts of pretended Governance:
For Quartering large bodies of the DEI/SEL/Wellness Industrial Complex among us:
For imposing Tuition Hikes, Strategic Plans, and increased bureaucracy on us without our Consent:
For creating monopolistic cartel practices among Independent Schools in tuition increases, admissions practices, and data management and surveillance under Veracross and Magnus Health:
For encouraging overly broad Enrollment Contracts for the ease of expelling families:
For taking away our individual school character, abolishing our most valuable ethos, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Independent Schools:
It has plundered our savings, ravaged our Institutions, burnt out our best and most respected faculty, and destroyed the lives of our children.
It has constrained our fellow Parents taken Captive on the high Seas of Branch COVIDians and College Counseling to bear Arms against their Parent Body, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury and expulsion.
Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Parochial, Public, Charter, and Homeschool brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by Big Ed to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over all Parents. We will continue to work with all Parents to protect education for all of our children.
We, therefore, the Parents of the Independent Schools of America, solemnly publish and declare, That Independent X School, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent Schools; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to NAIS, and that all political connection between them and NAIS, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent Schools, they have full Power to end DEI/SEL/Wellness and race essentialism, return to an educational approach derived from the Enlightenment, eschew excessive EdTech, cease following UNESCO provisions, empower Trustees to wield greater governance and fiduciary oversight rather than merely fundraising, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent Schools may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

How many more? How many more of our children must die before NAIS and Independent X School can perceive the harm they are wreaking by straying so far from the basic classical academic foundation free of ideological indoctrination and the global community dictates handed down by UNESCO through NAIS? When will Independent X School and Trustees have a real sit down with US – the Parents? How many more?!
We'll Fight The Powers That Be
So tonight, if your child remarks how we should cease fireworks shows because they damage the environment, remember what we’re fighting for. This is a fight against the all-encompassing disease of Marxism. This is a fight for our God-given rights. This is a fight for our independence. Our fight for the independence of Independent X School from the tyranny of NAIS is a microcosm of the very existential fight for independence of our nation from centralized global government that, with the likes of WHO IHR 2005, would override American sovereignty. This is not about liberal or conservative, black or white, agnostic or religious, rich or poor. This moment is about our very liberty, for all of our classical civil liberties – on the left and the right. The infighting is a ploy to have our institutions, our companies, and our entire country dismantle itself from within so we can be captured more easily under global Marxist tyranny. Do not fall for it! We are all Americans first, and we are all fighting for the same freedom and liberties together.
We must start with our everyday institutions. These are Our institutions. These are Our schools – we built them. They are not NAIS’. They are not the government’s. They are not UNESCO’s. They are not WEF’s. They are Ours. So Parents, claim them. Happy 4th of July!!
