I Feel The Need, The Need For Lawsuits
This week, female gymnasts filed a $1B lawsuit against the FBI for its role covering up abuse at the hands of Larry Nasser. Gold medal Olympian McKayla Maroney explained, “My fellow survivors and I were betrayed by every institution that was supposed to protect us — the US Olympic Committee, USA Gymnastics, the FBI and now the Department of Justice. It is clear that the only path to justice and healing is through the legal process.” Maggie Nichols added, “It is time for the FBI to be held accountable.”
So, too, has our path in holding Independent X School accountable led to the legal process. Adding to lawsuits against Spence, Charlotte Latin School, Latin School of Chicago, University School of Milwaukee, Frederick Gunn School, comes a suit against “act ethically” Brentwood School. No doubt “Dr. Mike” is making the most of difficult conversations with the trustees and crisis management lawyers, especially after Brentwood’s head of middle school resigned suddenly with only weeks left of school. With a slew of recent expulsions at Independent X School these final weeks, other suits lie in wait.
You’re Everyone’s Problem
Independent X School has made many “mistakes” these past couple years, haven’t they? Funny, nothing was a “mistake” until it was exposed.
The truth is clear. Independent X School is not operating from a position of good intention. Every sex book, every nonbinary genderbread person, every drag queen storytime, every inclusion of polyamory, every identity development session, every anti-capitalist reference, every anti-Semitic speaker, everything was on purpose. “It was a mistake” was always a lie to conceal their true agenda and to buy time to determine better ways to conceal their agenda and purge the 5%ers – the parents who ask questions. NAIS and Independent X School do not want to accomplish the same things we do. They are operating from a position to gain more control and power. Once they gain total control, they will implement their agenda even more forcefully to change our children into gender-questioning illiberal activists fighting against everything we have worked for their future.
Target-Rich Environment
First, Independent X School does not tell us in advance what is in the curriculum. 1619 Project, pride stickers and flags, gender parades, pronouns. Then when we find out, it’s a “mistake” or “misunderstanding.” Remember our warning that everything would be about “wellness?” Never doubt us. St. Andrew’s already appointed a Director of “Wellness” who surveyed 3rd–5th graders about their parents and home life and middle and upper schoolers about anxiety and – what else, gender. Making sure to include everyone, kindergarteners were lectured about their privates under the guise of safety. St. Andrew’s is not alone in partnering with the likes of Rainbow Alliance. Disguised as sex ed, NAIS has been pushing Independent X School to partner with Gender Spectrum, Health Connected, the Trevor Project, Planned Parenthood, GLSEN and many other agenda pushing groups. But how many parents are aware of this? Independent X School certainly was never going to tell us.
Soon Independent X School will no longer hide its agenda, but proclaim it loud and proud. Because every social justice acronym needs more letters, Oakwood hosted its IDEAS Summit (identity, diversity, equity and action in solidarity) to virtue signal luxury beliefs like Climate Feminism and Theatre of the Oppressed. Not to be outdone by ridiculous programs, the IDEAS Summit was replete with white guilt hustler Robin DiAngelo quotes and made a “brave space” by separating participants into race-based affinity groups: Black, African; Greater Middle Eastern; Multi-racial; Racially Curious/Questioning; Asian, Asian Pacific Islander; Latinx/Hispanic; and White, European. In this brave new world, tell us, where did they put the Jews?
It’s Classified
Still, there may be some pesky 5%er parents who insist on asking questions. To better deal with these “mentally-ill” parents, Independent X School is upgrading from the Baby Jane Group to the big leagues. A la the Steele Dossier, NAIS and Independent X School are shifting to white shoe law firms to conceal the totality of their communications under attorney-client privilege. Crisis management instruction? Privileged. Trustee training? Privileged. “Going forward, independent schools that monitor or intercept employees’ telephone calls, email, and/or internet usage will need to obtain written acknowledgment from any new hires that such communications are subject to monitoring.” Privileged. Venable has been a presenter to NAIS conferences for the past decade. Holland & Knight boasts “one of the largest teams of education lawyers in the country today” with clients that include “nationally renowned” independent schools.
A law firm “functions as an outside general counsel’s office for institutions without an in-house legal department.” It preps Independent X School for the types of lawsuits parents could bring and advises how to avoid such lawsuits – not by sticking to the basics of providing strong foundational educations and straight-forward communications, but with legal tricks and obfuscation like crafting enrollment contracts in clever ways.
Did NAIS get Hero Teacher Paul Rossi cancelled from Twitter permanently? Why the additional layer of secrecy? Why not be straight-forward and transparent with us about curriculum, finances, and policies? Why use our tuition money to retain high paid lawyers to trick and threaten us? Is Independent X School Headmaster’s ego writing checks his body can’t cash?
Watch The Birdie
Meanwhile, just as Independent X School is lawyering up and transitioning to website portals with greater security, data collection and storing capabilities (Magnus Health/Veracross), NAIS shut down access to parts of its website, including the NAIS Annual Conference. Is our children’s education a state secret? Why do we know more about Biden’s finances than that of Independent X School? Why the continued increase in secrecy? It looks increasingly like Donna Orem stayed on as NAIS President to straighten the ship and increase the speed.
After contestants taped the show Survivor, they went through full psychological reviews. That’s after only a few weeks. What will happen to our children after years of this insanity? Will we leave them to be abused as our Olympic gymnasts were left to be abused? Graduation and moving up is done. Get some needed rest. But then keep going. Independent X School will not engage with us on the merits of any of these discussions because it knows it is pushing an illiberal agenda. So keep asking questions. Keep pushing. We are in the right in asking questions. Do not let Independent X School mind fuck us. We are our children’s only protectors.
